What are you reading?
Roger
I was reading the Star Trek Kahn book I think it was called 'To Rule In Hell'.
Pretty cool so far, but then I saw the 'Man Of Steel' novelization so I am half way thru that.
Really cool bits that didn't make the film.

Actually lost interest in the Kahn book.

The Man of Steele novelization was really good and had some extra 'scenes' that didn't make the film.

I am currently reading an autobiography on Orson Welles. This thing is like 600 pages but very interesting.

I've been taking forever to read "The Black Russian". It's not holding my interest much. I need to suck it up and power through it... one of these days.

I ALMOST picked that up the other day when I made a trip to the book store.
I'd like to read something from him. I've loved his Doctor Who episodes.

OH I'm currently reading "The Shining" by Stephen King.
This is the first King book I have read besides "On Writing".

I hated to do it but I had to quit reading 'the Shining' after about 150 pages. It's still was not going anywhere. I loved the Kubrick film but the novel was just dragging.

I'm reading Lovecraft and Poe now.

Lovecraft is so dry and he really drags. Everything I've been reading since 2011 has been for the podcast now. I don't mind, but sometimes people loan me books, and I don't know how to tell them I don't have time for that, because I'm too busy rereading my old Clive Barker books.

I don't see that at all.
What do you mean by dry?

Yeah I've got a huge 'to-read' pile. I TRY not to accept loans of books I know I won't have time to read.
If I'm not in the mood I'm not gonna read it.

Dry means huge paragraphs unbroken by dialogue or human interaction. The only characters are white men, and the writing is filled with made-up adjectives and ways of describing things without really describing them.

I do admit he over does it a bit with the descriptions sometimes but a lot of it I like.
It can get pretty creepy and he has some great monsters.

In the car I've been listening to the Sherlock Holmes audio books. It's been a while since I've read a bunch of these and they are pretty fun.

I'm just finishing up Storm Front (Book 1 of the Dresden Files).

I saw the TV show which was cool but the books are even better. I don't usually like to jump into something that is a long on-going series but I can see me reading the rest of them.
