FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ALL-ABOARD!!!!

Lakeshore Records To Release Original Score For The Midnight Meat Train

(July 9, 2008- Los Angeles, CA) - Lakeshore Records will release the
original score for THE MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN on July 22, 2008 in stores and
via iTunes.  Composers Robert Williamson and Johannes Kobilke team up once
again for the film.  The two composed the soundtrack for PATHOLOGY, which
was released earlier this year.

Co-Composer Robert Williamson got his start in music playing bass in various
bands in Seattle in the mid 90's sharing bills with bands like Nirvana and
Soundgarden.  He became infatuated with electronic music and started Eat
Knowledge recordings. In 2000 Robert wrote the script for the movie
DANDELION and as the movie reached final stages of editing he decided to
score it as well.  The film debuted at Sundance in 2004.  He went on to
score the film THE YOUTH IN US, a series for MTV, contributed songs to
UNDERWORLD EVOLUTION, wrote original music for a documentary about Hurricane
Katrina with director and R.E.M front man Michael Stipe, and contributed
additional score for the film CRANK.

Johannes Kobilke began playing and improvising piano at the age of six.
During his teenage years he began writing original compositions and working
in electronic music production.  Johannes also performed as keyboard and
piano player in several bands and as singer in a classical choir.   He
studied film music and sound design at Filmacademy Ludwigsburg/Germany.
Since completing his studies in 1999, Johannes has composed the music for
more than 25 television movies in Germany and for commercials and
industrials for companies like BMW, Lexus, Lamborghini, Siemens, Burger
King, AUDI, and VW.  PATHOLOGY and THE MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN are the first
Hollywood films Johannes has composed.

Next stop . death on THE MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN, from Lions Gate, in theaters
on August 1, 2008.  When Leon Kaufman's (Bradley Cooper) latest body of
work - a collection of provocative, nighttime studies of the city and its
inhabitants -- earns the struggling photographer interest from prominent art
gallerist Susan Hoff (Brooke Shields), she propels him to get grittier and
show the darker side of humanity for his upcoming debut at her downtown art
space.  Believing he's finally on track for success, Leon's obsessive
pursuit of dark subject matter leads him into the path of a serial killer,
Mahogany (Vinnie Jones), the subway murderer who stalks late-night
commuters -- ultimately butchering them in the most gruesome ways
imaginable.

From the shocking imagination of Clive Barker, Lions Gate films presents THE
MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN, in theaters on August 1.  Lakeshore Records presents
THE MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN Original Score, available in stores and via iTunes
on July 22.

Calling all horror and Clive Barker fans! The new movie "The Midnight Meat Train" based on Clive's short story of the same name is in danger of getting only a VERY limited release and not being seen by the majority of movie going audiences.

Here are the details taken directly from Clive's official site and how you can help.

...It has become apparent that the theatrical distribution of The Midnight Meat Train has been curtailed, with reports that the movie may be seen on only 100 screens across the US. Word has reached us that the substantial excitement surrounding the movie has now developed into an active campaign by movie-lovers for its full theatrical release.

Clive is throwing his support behind the growing movement. He is asking all who would like to see the movie get the wide distribution that many people believe it deserves to add their voice...

Clive Barker: "I am very excited about this possibility and I would passionately encourage everybody who cares about my work to use this chance to change the minds of the folks at Lionsgate.

"This is exciting! I really think, this late in the day, that grassroots support for our movie could significantly improve our chances of reaching a much bigger audience theatrically. The picture is worth the effort, I believe."

E-mail message as started at IMDB
(or feel free to compose your own):

As a long time Clive Barker fan, I am writing you to express my strong desire to see “The Midnight Meat Train” on the big screen.
Rumors are currently circulating that the film will only be released on a limited basis and I am very concerned that I will miss my opportunity to see the most highly anticipated Clive Barker film in over a decade in all of its big screen glory!
There are millions of horror fans like myself who have been disappointed by the recent trend towards watered down PG-13 horror movies. Clive’s work represents a return to serious, thought provoking horror movies and with Ryuhei Kitamura at the helm, I am even more excited to experience this collaboration as it was intended: in a packed theater with hundreds of other horror fans like myself!
I urge you to please give this film the release it deserves!
Many thanks,
