I watched Hellraiser on a VHS tape in May 1988 and then I started reading Weaveworld in September/October 1988. I did not believe that the writer of Weaveworld and director of Hellraiser were the same person.

My first was watching either Hellraiser or Nightbreed. I soon after found the Hellbound Heart at the flea market. I think it was his intro to the Nightbreed VHS that really hooked me.
He was talking directly to the fans about amazing monsters and things forbidden. It was great.
