Lady in White (1988)

Apr 19th, 2010

Lady in White (1988) Despite some obvious flaws (mostly FX wise) this is a wonderful and spooky story, about a ghostly Lady in White, and the mystery that a young boy uncovers about it. Recommended. Rating:

Killer Shrews (1959)

Apr 18th, 2010

Killer Shrews (1959) Night Of The Living Dead but with giant man eating gopher dogs. Considering this was low budget (with matching monsters and storyline) it was pretty good. There were some creepy moments and tension. If you want to catch a decent horrible old movie… you could do worse than this one. Rating:

Giant Gila Monster (1959)

Apr 17th, 2010

Giant Gila Monster (1959) Low budget horrible old movie. Yeah it’s a stinker, but it has enough going for it to keep you interested and sticking around for the whole movie. Rating:

Haunted Mansion (2003)

Apr 17th, 2010

Haunted Mansion (2003) Decent movie based on the Disneyland ride. The special effects and music are the best parts. If you are a fan of the Disney attraction you’ll want to see this but don’t expect a lot. Rating:

Night of the Big Heat (1967)

Apr 13th, 2010

Night of the Big Heat (1967) (a.k.a. Island Of The Burning Damned/Doomed) Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing star in this low budget War Of The Worlds rip off. That’s about all I can say about this one except that you should probably avoid it. Of interest to Lee and Cushing fans only. Rating:

Werewolf of London (1935)

Apr 12th, 2010

Werewolf of London (1935) Quite good film with just the right amounts of horror and humour. The acting and story were really good too. I liked the Lon Chaney Jr. Wolf Man movie, but I think this one had a bit more to it over-all. Rating:

Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man (1943)

Apr 11th, 2010

In this sequel to the Wolf Man, Lon Chaney returns to kill and kill again. Still haunted by his curse, he seeks the help of Dr. Frankenstein. Bela Lugosi fills in as the Monster. Sadly the part lacked everything that would have made it worth watching. Lon Chaney is still pretty good as the everyman […]

Wolf Man (1941)

Apr 10th, 2010

Wolf Man (1941) I watched the movie last night and liked it. The whole cast was well suited to their rolls. Bela Legosi didn’t have a big part but it was cool seeing him playing a gypsy actually called Bela. It was nice seeing that this movie was just over an hour long. It had […]
