Well, its been quite a busy week/weekend!
The BIG NEWS is that I have finished the cover!
Its been sent in and I’m waiting for final print review.

I decided to put the pictures of the main characters ON the cover instead of inside the book.
This way you can see GRANNY GHOUL, FRIDAY, and HANNAH BANANA in COLOR.
(Of course Doctor Xombie is on the front cover).

I sat down and its suddenly 7 hours later. Where did the time go?
I think it rained while my mind was elsewhere too. Hmmmmm
Here’s what I was working on though so it was totally worth it.
I did some small edits and pretty much finished the layout in InDesign (which is formatted for a 6×9 book).
I’m still not sure about pictures but I still have time to think on that.

I haven’t been slacking… honest.

So basically this is a rough layout that I printed so I can get a basic idea of what the final version could look like.
The cover is still up for debate, but overall things look good so far.
Now I can go in and mark up any changes I’d like to make, then add those to the final layout.
On a more personal note this was a great day. My daughter and I got to hang out and do a little school shopping, hit the art supply store, and comic shop. Oh and Panda Express is da bomb.
